Job summary

HEICO Component Repair Group is seeking a Pneumatics Technician to join our aerospace maintenance team in Miami. The role focuses on repairing pneumatic aircraft components, reading OEM manuals, and ensuring airworthiness per FAA and AS9100 standards.

The technician will disassemble, inspect, test, and reassemble valves, actuators, regulators, and pumps, using precision tools and pressure gauges. A background in aviation maintenance and familiarity with schematics is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years hands-on experience with pneumatic or mechanical systems (aviation/aerospace preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Skilled in using measurement tools, pressure gauges, test equipment, and hand tools.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with FAA regulations and MRO standards is preferred.
• A&P Certification a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, reassemble, and test pneumatic aircraft components including valves, actuators, regulators, and pumps.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic system and component malfunctions using manuals and schematics.
• Perform leak, pressure, and functional testing to verify performance and airworthiness.
• Read and interpret OEM manuals, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Replace worn, damaged, or non-conforming parts in accordance with approved repair procedures.
• Utilize precision measuring tools and pressure gauges to verify compliance with specifications.
• Complete detailed repair, inspection, and testing documentation.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials, components or processes.
• Maintain work areas clean, organized, and in serviceable condition.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, AS9100 standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.

Requirements
