Job summary

HEICO Component Repair Group is seeking a Pneumatics Technician to join our engaged technical team in Miami, FL. This hands‑on role requires following OEM manuals, FAA regulations, and repair procedures to ensure pneumatic components meet airworthiness standards before returning to service.

You will collaborate with engineers, quality control inspectors, and fellow technicians to complete repairs on schedule and uphold safety and performance standards in a dynamic aerospace environment.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on pneumatics or mechanical systems experience, aviation/aerospace preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Skilled with measurement tools, pressure gauges, test equipment, and hand tools.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Familiarity with FAA regulations and MRO standards preferred.
  • A&P certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, disassemble, clean, repair, reassemble, and test pneumatic aircraft components including valves, actuators, regulators, and pumps.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic system and component malfunctions using manuals and schematics.
  • Perform leak, pressure, and functional testing to verify performance and airworthiness.
  • Read and interpret OEM manuals, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  • Replace worn, damaged, or non-conforming parts per approved repair procedures.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools and pressure gauges to verify compliance with specifications.
  • Complete detailed repair, inspection, and testing documentation.
  • Identify and report non-conforming materials, components or processes.
  • Maintain work areas clean, organized, and in serviceable condition.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, AS9100 standards, customer requirements, and company procedures.

HEICO Component Repair Group, a global leader in the overhaul and repair of aircraft components, is looking for a Pneumatics Technician to join our talented technical team.

This position offers a dynamic, hands-on environment where your mechanical skills will directly contribute to the performance and safety of commercial aircraft systems. As a Pneumatics Technician you will follow OEM manuals, engineering instructions, and FAA regulations to ensure all components meet quality and airworthiness standards before being released back into service. You will work closely with engineers, quality control inspectors, and other technicians to ensure repairs are completed accurately and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
Skills and Education Experience

Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand or sit at a bench for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting
  • Ability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipment
