Job summary

Jefferson Health Plans seeks a senior PMO leader to manage project management and analyst staff, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and standardized governance. You will guide project portfolios across technology initiatives, mentor staff, and drive process improvements to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder collaboration, and expertise in portfolio governance within a healthcare IT environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information sciences & technology or information management related fields or equivalent
• Associate’s degree with 10 years of experience preferred
• 7 years of progressive experience in IT, healthcare or business PMO related fields
• 1 year experience in a lead, supervisory or leadership role
• Strong project management, governance and portfolio management skills
• Understanding of enterprise platforms, digital technologies and integration tools
• Ability to mentor project managers and analysts
• Excellent relationship-building and cross-team collaboration

Responsibilities

• Manages a portfolio of strategic initiatives while overseeing team performance
• Aligns projects with organizational objectives like improved patient care, operational efficiency, and digital transformation
• Maintains PMO playbooks, policies, and standardized project management methodologies
• Implements best practices for project scope, risk management and lessons learned
• Promotes ongoing process optimization and integration across enterprise portfolios
• Drives intake and prioritization of technology projects through governance committees
• Facilitates operational governance committees and ensures intake workflows and demand management
• Assists with portfolio decision making and performance monitoring
• Leads PMO education sessions for project managers and IS&T leaders
