Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute is seeking a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to support the U.S. Special Operations Command and POTFF initiatives, focusing on evidence-based care and performance optimization.

The role provides comprehensive NP services, clinical leadership, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a mission-driven environment, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement and emphasis on readiness and well-being.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from an ACEN/CCNE-accredited program.
• Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health NP (ANCC/AANP).
• Current, valid RN license in the U.S. (any state/DC/territories).
• Maintain active BCLS certification as required.
• Meet service-specific credentialing and local MTF requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of outcome-based NP services within privileges at the MTF.
• Direct and educate other staff through evidence-based lectures.
• Diagnose and treat common acute/chronic conditions per guidelines.
• Promote preventive care and health maintenance with education.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient care.
• Identify conditions requiring isolation and enforce universal precautions.
• Participate in staff meetings for case discussions and quality improvement.
