Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute seeks a full-time Nurse Case Manager to support U.S. Special Operations Command programs. You will apply nursing principles to manage complex patient needs, collect health data, and coordinate services and referrals to optimize care for DoD beneficiaries.

The role emphasizes cost-effective care planning, collaboration with clinicians, and adherence to relevant federal guidelines, in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Certified as a case manager by a recognized certifying organization.
• At least two years’ nursing experience.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN license in any U.S. State or D.C./territory.
• Ability to seek feedback from peers to improve practice and knowledge.
• Experience consulting with healthcare providers and negotiating for services.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional health nursing principles to analyze and address patient care needs.
• Collect and communicate health data to develop time-sensitive treatment plans.
• Assess patient care via telephone using established protocols.
• Oversee discharge planning to optimize care delivery.
• Facilitate referrals and coordinate with healthcare providers and facilities.
• Negotiate and administer product/service agreements for care goals.
