Job summary

Battelle's Health Research and Analytics team seeks a Cognitive Performance Specialist to support U.S. Special Operations Command, advancing POTFF programs to optimize SOF readiness and resilience.

This full-time role develops mental performance training and applies evidence-based psychology in training and operations. You will collaborate with HP staff, create training materials, document activities, and report data per USSOCOM and POTFF standards, while maintaining confidentiality and security

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in human performance, kinesiology, or Exercise Science, with a specialization in Sport Psychology.
• At least five years of demonstrable experience as a mental performance coach or sport psychologist with athletes or SOF operators.
• Ability to meet physical demands and obtain/maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Train SOF personnel to develop cognitive skills for optimal performance in training and operations.
• Provide mental performance guidance within POTFF’s Human Performance program.
• Develop training materials, participate in interdisciplinary meetings, and ensure documentation per USSOCOM and POTFF standards.
• Collect and report data, maintain HP Enterprise database (SPEAR), and support research under HP supervision.
