Job summary

Guidelight Health in Denver, CO is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and therapeutic support for clients in our PHP and IOP programs. This is a full-time, 100% onsite W2 position with standard hours Monday–Friday and weekly supervision with the psychiatrist.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN, PMHNP-BC or PA certification, an active license, and at least one year of prescribing experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
• Board certification as PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant.
• Current, unrestricted state licensure as a PMHNP or PA.
• Minimum one year of experience prescribing medication.
• Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, medications, and treatment modalities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and intake assessments for PHP/IOP patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on psychiatric assessment findings.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
• Provide ongoing medication management and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in PHP/IOP settings.
• Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning.
• Document all patient interactions per agency policies and regulations.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions and medications.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards for psychiatric services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based psychiatric practices.
