Job summary

Guidelight Health is seeking a part-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management for PHP/IOP programs in Norwood, MA. You will collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other clinicians to deliver holistic patient care.

This role focuses on clinical oversight, treatment planning, and education for patients and families, while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining up-to-date evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Board certification as PMHNP-BC or Physician Assistant.
• Current, unrestricted state licensure as PMHNP or PA.
• Minimum one year of experience prescribing medication.
• Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses and psychiatric medications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-based environment.
• Ability to work with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural competence.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Compassionate, empathetic, patient-focused care.
• Willing to provide formal clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians if eligible.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, including intake assessments for PHP/IOP programs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitoring effectiveness and side effects.
• Provide ongoing medication management and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Provide crisis intervention and support in PHP/IOP settings.
• Participate in clinical team meetings, case reviews, and treatment planning discussions.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment per policies and regulations.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatments, and medications.
• Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards for psychiatric services.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evidence-based practices in psychiatric care.
