Job summary

CHE Behavioral Health Services is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) or experienced Physician Assistants to provide psychiatric care in long-term care and rehabilitation settings. This opportunity supports SNFs, rehab, and assisted living facilities across NH.

An ideal candidate will conduct psychiatric evaluations, develop and monitor treatment plans, prescribe psychotropic medications, and collaborate with an integrated care team.

Qualifications

• MSN in Psychiatric/Mental Health or equivalent.
• ANCC PMHNP certification valid for New Hampshire.
• Experience with psychotropic medication management.
• Active DEA registration in NH.
• Optional: Family Nurse Practitioners with 3–5 years of psych experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with an integrated care team (psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, nursing staff).
• Distinguish and diagnose psychological vs. physiological disorders.
• Consult on complex or unusual clinical cases.
