Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience with computerized Power Management Control Systems (PMCS), including system logic, software updates, and I/O modules.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planned outages and replacement of switchgear breakers that do not transfer power correctly.
• Repair PMCS logic so breakers engage correctly during outages and when transferring back to utility power.
• Update PMCS software and replace I/O modules.
• Perform or assist with medium-voltage equipment maintenance and repairs, including transformer oil sampling and testing.
• Conduct infrared scanning of electrical connections and testing of automatic transfer operation breakers and relays.
• Test breakers in switchgear serving campus buildings to meet code requirements.
• Inspect, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and respond to emergencies.
