Job summary

Responsibilities

• Observe and report patient concerns or changes to a nurse immediately.
• Assist RN with admission, transfer, discharge, and general care.
• Record vital signs and monitor intake/output; assist with hygiene and comfort.
• Assist in specimen collection and patient care activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment to prevent infection.
• Report equipment repairs promptly.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Communicate nutrition issues to RN.
• Assist department with administrative tasks and phone coverage.
• Answer patient call bells and relay messages.
