• Observes and reports patient concerns to a nurse immediately.
• Assists the RN with admission, transfer, discharge and general patient care duties.
• Records vital signs and supports personal hygiene and patient comfort measures.
• Assists in specimen collection and activities of assigned patients.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment to prevent infection and ensure safety.
• Reports equipment repairs to the appropriate personnel.
• Prepares patients for examinations and diagnostic procedures.
• Communicates with RN about nutrition issues and diet changes.
• Assists department with administrative tasks and answers patient call bells.
