Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician III in Worcester, MA for the evening shift. The role supports nurses and clinicians, provides patient care, and performs essential bedside procedures in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring patient safety. A HS diploma and BLS are required, with prior PCT II experience preferred. Signing bonus may be available, interview confirms eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or GED.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Demonstrated competency at PCT II level.
• Prior inpatient/outpatient care experience or clinical care training.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Medical terminology knowledge.
• Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under licensed clinician supervision.
• Maintain safety and assist with daily living activities.
• Assist in moving, lifting, positioning, and transporting patients using proper body mechanics.
• Record vital signs and monitor patient condition.
• Perform basic clinical procedures (EKG, POC tests, bladder scanning) and collect specimens.
• Support RN/LICP with treatments and procedures, preparing equipment and supplies.
