Job summary

Aerotek is hiring a Shipping and Receiving Specialist for our Miami, FL facility. You will inspect incoming shipments, prepare shipping documents, maintain ERP inventory records, and coordinate with carriers to support efficient warehouse operations.

The role requires hands-on shipping/receiving experience, forklift operation, and attention to detail. You’ll work a PM shift Monday through Friday with a focus on safety and timely communication.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in shipping and receiving operations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and inventory processes.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
• Strong attention to detail when verifying shipments and docs.
• Effective communication with vendors, drivers, and staff.
• Ability to coordinate carrier pickups and deliveries.
• Maintain an organized, safe warehouse workspace.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Prepare and process shipping documents (bills of lading, packing slips).
• Track shipments and provide status updates to management.
• Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries.
• Handle materials, unload/load, and stock received items.
• Operate material handling equipment safely per procedures.
• Update inventory records in ERP to keep accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following safety rules.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Work a PM shift Monday–Friday with daily shipping/receiving tasks.
