Job summary

The Pines at Placerville Healthcare Center is seeking a Part‑Time PM Shift Registered Nurse (RN) to lead the nursing team, monitor resident conditions, and oversee medications and treatments on afternoons and evenings. This role emphasizes leadership, clinical judgment, and collaborative care for skilled nursing residents.

Responsibilities include supervising RNs/LVNs and CNAs, guiding staff, coordinating admissions and family communication, and ensuring a smooth transition to the overnight

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, active, and unrestricted California RN license.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong communication, organizational, and clinical decision‑making skills.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, procedures, and regulations applicable to skilled nursing/long‑term care.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect resident information.
• Ability to meet applicable physical and job‑related requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the nursing team and coordinate resident care during the PM shift.
• Help ensure appropriate staffing and assignments for RNs/LVNs and CNAs.
• Provide guidance, support, and direction to nursing staff.
• Make sound independent clinical decisions and respond appropriately to changing resident conditions.
• Conduct rounds and monitor residents' physical, emotional, and clinical status.
• Maintain a calm, respectful environment and ensure smooth transition to the NOC shift.
