Job summary

The Supervisory Speech Pathologist (Service Chief) serves as the Chief of PM&R Service at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, providing oversight, planning and development of all service functions and programs.

Responsibilities include clinical and administrative leadership, budget management, staff development, and collaboration with local and national leadership to ensure high-quality, evidence-based practice across the service.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Full, current, unrestricted SLP license in the United States.
• English language proficiency required.
• Grandfathering provision may apply for current VA employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the PM&R Speech Pathology Service operations.
• Translate goals into efficient service operations across the facility.
• Manage budgets, resources and staffing for the service.
• Supervise staff development and affiliations/internships.
• Collaborate with local, VISN and national leadership.
