Job summary

Mason Street Grill, a unit of The Marcus Corporation, seeks a PM Prep Cook to support evening culinary operations. You will prepare ingredients and food items according to established recipes, ensure the kitchen is stocked, and assist the culinary team to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities include prepping, portioning, labeling, and storing products, while adhering to FIFO and sanitation requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience; 3+ years preferred.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Able to stand for long periods.
• Must obtain sanitation/licensing as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients and food items according to recipes and standards.
• Complete daily prep tasks to ready the kitchen for dinner service.
• Wash, cut, marinate, portion, and store ingredients following FIFO.
• Follow recipes and presentation standards for quality and consistency.
• Label, date, store, and organize food products safely.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of prep stations and equipment.
• Communicate prep needs and shortages to chefs and line cooks.
• Assist culinary team during busy periods and events.
