Job summary

The Chateau of Long Beach, an assisted living facility in Long Beach, CA, is seeking compassionate Caregivers and Medication Technicians for full-time roles.

We offer a $500 sign-on bonus (conditions apply) and training with no prior experience required. Shifts include PM 2pm-10:30pm and NOC 10pm-6:30am from Tuesday through Saturday, with full benefits for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• Pass DOJ FBI live scan background clearance.
• Pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily ADLs and resident activities.
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Document and communicate with physicians and staff.
• Schedule resident doctor’s appointments.
• Promote engagement and independence while reducing pain.
• Maintain composure during emergencies and ensure safety.
• Communicate changes with residents, families and Wellness Coordinator.
• Complete paperwork and log medication daily.
• Take on additional duties assigned by Administration.

The Chateau of Long Beach is an assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 59+) located in Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers and Medication Technicians who have the passion to help the elderly and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications (non-negotiable):

• Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
• Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in various shifts

Job Description:

• Assists with daily assignments, ensuring completion in assistance with resident Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies and maintains a safe work environment
• Communicates clearly, calmly and effectively with residents, families and Wellness Coordinator with any changes or resident concerns
• Complete any outstanding paperwork for the day including filing, logging medication and centrally stored record
• Additional duties as assigned by Administration
