Job summary

TruCare Community in Long Beach, CA is seeking a PM/NOC Caregiver/Med Tech for a full-time role. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, document care, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure quality care.

Caregiving experience is preferred though training is provided. A $500 sign-on bonus is available with conditions. Shifts include 2pm–10:30pm and 10pm–6:30am, Tue–Sat; walk-ins welcomed at 8516 Artesia Blvd., Bellflower.

Qualifications

• Pass DOJ FBI live scan background clearance as required by licensing.
• Pass pre-employment physical and TB test clearance.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily ADLs and resident activity documentation.
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Schedule resident doctor’s appointments.
• Document and communicate with physicians and other medical staff.
• Maintain safety and respond to emergencies.
• Complete paperwork including medication logs and recordkeeping.
• Support administration as needed.

The Chateau of Long Beach is an assisted living facility for the elderly community (ages 59+) located in Long Beach, CA. We are currently seeking compassionate and dependable Caregivers who have the passion to help the elderly and enjoy working in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications (non-negotiable):

• Able to pass DOJ FBI live scan criminal background clearance mandated by licensing
• Able to pass pre employment physical and TB test clearance
• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in caregiving and medical administration preferred
• Full-Time and Part-Time positions available in various shifts

Job Description:

• Assists with daily assignments, ensuring completion in assistance with resident Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Provide ethical and respectful care to residents.
• Progressive documentation and communication with physician and /or medical professional.
• Scheduling of resident doctor’s appointments.
• Ensure that residents stay stress-free as much as possible by working with medical professionals in regards to reducing of pain while promoting engagement and independence.
• Maintains good composure during emergencies and maintains a safe work environment
• Communicates clearly, calmly and effectively with residents, families and Wellness Coordinator with any changes or resident concerns
• Complete any outstanding paperwork for the day including filing, logging medication and centrally stored record
• Additional duties as assigned by Administration
