Job Overview

Ensure proper service from the front line through quality control, staff training, and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Verify all items against recipe cards and use records; ensure food presentation and efficiency
  • Monitor line setup for efficiency during meal periods
  • Maintain equipment and uphold sanitation policies
  • Prepare food following recipes, standards, and portion controls
  • Manage pre-prepared food, avoid overproduction
  • Label, date, and rotate perishables per SOP
  • Assess stock levels, prepare necessary items, and manage line setup
  • Report shortages and return unused food properly
  • Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste

Qualifications

Education/Formal Training

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

1-2 years in a related role with this company or others.

Knowledge/Skills

  • Understanding of cooking practices and kitchen procedures

Physical Demands

This role involves lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items up to 70 lbs, climbing, bending, standing continuously, and working in variable temperatures from -10°F to over 100°F. Must be able to communicate effectively and follow instructions, with reasonable accommodations for disabilities.
