Job summary

Cooper's Plumbing & Air in Bainbridge, GA, is seeking a Plumbing Manager to lead our growing plumbing department. This full-time, onsite role reports to ownership and drives daily operations, technician development, safety, profitability, and quality workmanship.

You will manage scheduling, KPI tracking, budgeting, and customer satisfaction, while coaching technicians and ensuring code compliance. ServiceTitan experience is preferred for this leadership role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of management experience in plumbing or a related skilled trades environment.
• Strong working knowledge of residential and/or commercial plumbing operations.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop technicians.
• Demonstrated success in operations management, sales performance, and customer service.
• Ability to manage KPIs, budgets, and departmental expenses.
• Comfortable using technology; experience with ServiceTitan or similar field service software preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of inventory management, materials, and logistics.
• Reliable, positive, and team-focused attitude.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day plumbing operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee scheduling, dispatching, and workflow for plumbing technicians.
• Create, implement, and enforce processes and procedures specific to the plumbing department.
• Hire, coach, train, and develop plumbing technicians to maximize performance, sales opportunities, and customer service.
• Hold technicians accountable to performance standards, safety practices, and company expectations.
• Conduct routine ride-alongs, one-on-one meetings, and weekly training focused on both technical plumbing skills and soft skills.
• Collaborate with ownership and department leaders to drive revenue growth and profitability.
• Achieve budgeted revenue by meeting KPIs including average ticket, conversion rate, lead generation, and staffing levels.
• Manage gross margin by controlling labor, overtime, productivity, and material costs.
• Participate in daily KPI meetings, determine action steps, and communicate technician availability and capacity to the office team.
• Ensure plumbing work is completed safely, cleanly, timely, and in compliance with code and company standards.
• Handle customer concerns, employee issues, and operational challenges promptly and professionally.
• Adjust manpower and scheduling daily based on demand and workload.
• Inspect plumbing trucks, tools, uniforms, and inventory; address deficiencies as needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and oversee materials and equipment readiness.
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on accountability, growth, and success.
