Job summary

Opportunity Interactive seeks a Plumbing Department Manager to oversee daily operations, project coordination, and administrative functions of the plumbing division in a Phoenix, AZ environment.

You will support technicians on difficult jobs, supervise dispatch and scheduling, and ensure department remains organized and profitable. Five+ years in plumbing and project management are required, with leadership experience and Strong knowledge of service, repair, and installation.

Qualifications

• At least five years of professional plumbing industry experience.
• Plumbing project management experience is required.
• Previous experience supervising plumbing technicians or managing a service department.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing service, repair, installation, and project requirements.
• Ability to provide technical guidance on complex plumbing jobs.
• Experience preparing estimates, proposals, scopes of work, or project pricing.
• Experience with job costing, margin review, payroll documentation, and operational reporting.
• Strong leadership, organization, communication, and follow-through.
• Ability to manage multiple employees, projects, and deadlines.
• ServiceTitan or similar software experience is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and hold plumbing technicians accountable for quality, productivity, and customer service.
• Provide technical support when technicians encounter difficult or complex jobs.
• Serve as an escalation point for customer concerns and job-related issues.
• Maintain visibility into schedules, materials, labor needs, deadlines, and outstanding items.
• Assist with preparing quotes, estimates, and proposals for small and large projects.
• Review job scopes and coordinate communication between technicians, customers, dispatch, and leadership.
• Identify delays, cost concerns, or staffing issues before they affect project completion.
• Review completed jobs for accuracy, profitability, and coaching opportunities.
• Directly oversee the dispatcher and plumbing department assistant.
• Complete job costing and review labor, materials, margins, and project performance.
• Review estimates, invoices, timecards, job notes, and departmental records.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and report on staffing, workload, productivity, and profitability.
• Develop processes that improve communication, efficiency, and accountability.

Plumbing Department Manager

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Pay: $110,000-$150,000 per year, plus performance bonuses

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-5:00 PM

On-Call: Rotating availability for emergency support

Lead the People, Projects, and Performance of Our Plumbing Department

We are seeking an experienced Plumbing Department Manager to oversee the daily operations, project coordination, and administrative functions of our plumbing division.

This position isn't responsible for running jobs. You will support technicians on difficult jobs, maintain visibility into active projects, oversee dispatch and scheduling, and ensure the department remains organized, accountable, and profitable.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on plumbing knowledge, project management experience, and the administrative skills needed to manage job costing, proposals, personnel reviews, and payroll documentation.
