Navigate Search represents an established Chicago-area general contractor seeking an experienced Superintendent with 10+ years of experience in managing plumbing riser installations on mid-rise or high-rise projects.

You will oversee field operations from mobilization to closeout, coordinate MEP trades, ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance, and collaborate with project teams and inspectors to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on commercial or multifamily construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day field operations from mobilization through project closeout.

• Oversee installation of plumbing risers, vertical rough-ins, sleeves, and MEP coordination.

• Conduct daily site meetings, safety meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Maintain project quality standards and proactively resolve field issues.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Superintendent with 10+ years of experience and a strong background managing plumbing or riser installations on mid-rise or high-rise projects. This individual will oversee all field operations from project start through completion, ensuring work is performed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience coordinating complex MEP systems, leading subcontractors, and driving schedules on projects where plumbing risers and vertical utility coordination are critical to project success.

• Track progress, document field activities, and communicate schedule impacts and solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as a on commercial or multifamily construction projects.
• Proven experience managing plumbing riser installations on mid-rise or high-rise buildings.
• Experience with commercial, healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, laboratory, or mixed-use construction preferred.
• Strong understanding of MEP coordination, sequencing, and building systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Experience managing subcontractors and maintaining aggressive project schedules.
• Knowledge of Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software is preferred.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
