Job summary

Navigate Search represents an established Chicago-area general contractor seeking an experienced Superintendent with 10+ years of experience in managing plumbing riser installations on mid-rise or high-rise projects.

You will oversee field operations from mobilization to closeout, coordinate MEP trades, ensure safety, schedule, and budget compliance, and collaborate with project teams and inspectors to deliver high-quality results on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience on commercial or multifamily construction projects.
• Proven experience coordinating MEP systems and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day-to-day field operations from mobilization through project closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing work to maximize productivity.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors with emphasis on plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection trades.
• Oversee installation of plumbing risers, vertical rough-ins, sleeves, and MEP coordination.
• Coordinate inspections, pressure testing, hydrostatic testing, and code compliance.
• Conduct daily site meetings, safety meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Maintain project quality standards and proactively resolve field issues.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Inspectors.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
