Job summary

Larry & Sons Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, Drain & Electrical in Hagerstown, MD is hiring Plumbing Service Technicians for full-time, on-site work. Pay ranges from $25.00 to $40.00 per hour, plus bonus potential and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for qualified technicians.

The role supports emergency calls with Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday schedules, 4:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m., a company-provided truck with gas card and tools, paid training, and growth opportunities within a family-oriented team.

Qualifications

• Previous plumbing experience (apprentice, journeyman, or equivalent) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform plumbing installations, repairs, and maintenance services in residential and/or commercial settings.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues with accuracy and efficiency.
• Install and repair piping systems, fixtures, water heaters, and related components.
• Operate and maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and service vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, local codes, and company procedures.
• Document work performed and communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Schedule: This position will primarily support emergency calls and weekend coverage. The current preferred scheduling options are Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday, with hours of 4:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m. midnight. These schedules are intended to provide additional evening and weekend coverage based on business needs. Other scheduling options are also available and may be discussed based on business needs and operational requirements.
