Job summary

Hammond Services, Inc. in Douglasville, GA is hiring a Journeyman Plumber to install, maintain, and repair residential plumbing and heating systems. You will work independently and with a team, traveling to Griffin for initial training and to service local customers.

Valid license and clean background required; ability to lift up to 50 lbs and weather the elements. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years residential plumbing service and installation experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong finger and manual dexterity for handling pipes and plumbing fixtures.
• Detail-oriented, organized and proficient at reading blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes.
• Willing to work in all types of weather.
• Considerable knowledge of standard tools, methods, and materials of the plumbing trade.
• Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work. Have a valid driver’s license and meet auto insurance requirements (minimum age to drive 22 years old).
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
• Effectively manage call volume and day-to-day tasks; able to work flexible schedules including overtime as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Responsibilities

• Manual work at the journeyman level in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and heating systems.
• Performance of skilled plumbing tasks in maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of fixtures and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, service, and repair work independently.
• Discuss plumbing malfunctions with customers to avoid future problems.
• Use software to report work completed and collect customer payments (COD).
• Collaborate with other technicians to complete installations and repairs efficiently.

Travel Requirement

Pay Range

• $70,000 – $180,000+ annually (based on experience, certifications, and performance).
