Job summary

Hammond Services is seeking qualified plumbers to join a family-owned team delivering heating, cooling, plumbing and electrical services to South & West Metro Atlanta. The role involves installation, maintenance and repair work with on-site and travel requirements for training at Griffin office.

Qualifications

• 3+ years residential plumbing service and installation experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and have good dexterity.
• Detail-oriented with ability to read blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes.
• Willing to travel to Griffin office for training as needed.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing and heating systems at journeyman level.
• Perform skilled plumbing tasks for fixtures and equipment.
• Work independently on routine maintenance, service, and repairs.
• Explain plumbing issues to customers to prevent recurrence.
• Report work using software and collect payments where applicable.
• Collaborate with other technicians to complete installations efficiently.

**This position will require travel to our Griffin office for on-the-job training (up to 6 weeks).

Pay Range:

• $ 70,000 – $180,000+ annually (based on experience, certifications, and performance)

What You’ll Do:

• Manual work at the journeyman level in the installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and heating systems.
• Performance of skilled plumbing tasks in maintaining, repairing, and servicing a variety of fixtures and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, service, and repair work are performed independently.
• Discuss plumbing malfunctions with customers to avoid future problems.
• Use of software to report work completed and collect customer payments (COD).
• Collaborate with other technicians to complete installations and repairs efficiently.

What You’ll Bring:

• 3+ years residential plumbing service and installation experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Strong finger and manual dexterity for handling pipes and plumbing fixtures
• Detail-oriented, organized and proficient of reading blueprints
• Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes
Willing to work in all types of weather
• Considerable knowledge of standard tools, methods, and materials of the plumbing trade
• Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions of the work
• Have a valid driver’s license and meet auto insurance requirements (minimum age to drive 22 years old).
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
• Effectively manage call volume and day-to-day tasks; be able to work flexible schedules including overtime, as needed.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
