Stefanini, Inc. in San Diego is seeking a General Manager to lead its Plumbing Service Department. You will oversee service plumbers, technicians, dispatch, vendors, and customers to ensure high-quality workmanship and profitable operations.

This hands-on leadership role requires deep plumbing expertise and strong business acumen, with responsibilities spanning staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and customer relations. The position includes a base salary in the six-figure range and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of plumbing management experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing service, repair, installation and commissioning.
• Experience leading service technicians and managing budgets.
• Solid customer service and sales capabilities.
• Able to read technical manuals and codes.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily operations of the Plumbing Service Department.
• Schedule, manage, and provide technical support to service technicians.
• Recruit, interview, hire, train, develop, and evaluate technicians.
• Oversee plumbing repair, installation, start-up, troubleshooting, and service activities.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, goals, KPIs, and profitability.
• Coordinate with dispatch to optimize scheduling and response times.
• Generate sales opportunities and grow maintenance/service agreements.
• Prepare estimates and bids for service contracts and projects.
• Ensure safety standards and quality across all service activities.
