Pan-Pacific Plumbing Co. is seeking an experienced Plumbing Project Manager to lead large commercial full mechanical construction projects in California.

You will drive preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets, schedules, and client relationships, and ensure safety and quality standards. This hands-on leadership role requires strong collaboration with owners, GC, design teams, and field personnel, with a focus on profitability and long-term partnerships.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Plumbing Project Managers to lead the execution of large, complex commercial construction projects.

As a key member of our Operations team, the Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of projects from preconstruction and turnover through startup, commissioning, and closeout. You will drive project planning, coordination, field execution, financial performance, scheduling, risk management, and client satisfaction while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced mechanical construction professional who excels at managing budgets, schedules, field operations, and client relationships while delivering successful project completions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end execution of large commercial full mechanical construction projects.
• Lead project planning, scheduling, procurement, cost control, forecasting, change management, and closeout.
• Manage project budgets and financial performance, including cost projections, labor productivity, billing, change orders, and profitability.
• Partner closely with field leadership to develop manpower plans, sequencing strategies, crew flow, and project schedules.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, design teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to protect schedule, budget, scope, and contractual requirements.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, procurement logs, change orders, project documentation, and other project controls.
• Oversee equipment procurement, startup, commissioning, punch list, and project closeout.
• Maintain strong client and general contractor relationships while identifying opportunities for additional work and long-term partnerships.
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and other project team members.
• Ensure projects are executed in alignment with company safety, quality, operational, and financial standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial mechanical construction project management experience with demonstrated expertise managing plumbing and mechanical systems on large, complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing mechanical scopes ranging from approximately $2 million to $100+ million.
• Experience with complex commercial projects such as mission critical/data centers, healthcare/HCAI, biotech/pharmaceutical, laboratories, high-rise, stadiums, education, airports/transportation, hospitality, and other major commercial facilities strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
• Advanced knowledge of commercial plumbing and piping systems, including domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, natural gas/fuel gas, plumbing equipment and fixtures, and pressure and gravity systems.
• Experience with medical gas, laboratory gas, specialty piping systems, plumbing finishes, and ADA requirements strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of applicable plumbing codes, construction methods, testing and inspection requirements, system startup, and commissioning.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, manpower planning, crew flow, equipment procurement, startup, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Proven ability to independently manage multiple complex and profitable projects with minimal oversight.
• Strong understanding of project financials, including budgets, forecasting, cost-to-complete, labor productivity, billing, change management, and profitability.
• Ability to effectively interact with owners, general contractors, design professionals, field personnel, executives, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Proficiency with construction technology and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam; experience with project management and scheduling platforms strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership skills with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop others.

• Valid driver's license in good standing and ability to travel to project sites as required.
• Must be physically able to access active construction environments, including climbing ladders and accessing trenches, attic spaces, and confined areas as required.
