Riddle Recruitment is assisting in recruiting a Plumbing Project Manager for a premier California mechanical and plumbing contractor. This role focuses on leading tenant improvement and commercial construction projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with strict safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will manage complex plumbing systems, mentor engineers, and collaborate across field teams and clients to drive project success and profitability.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated success managing complex commercial plumbing projects (schedule, scope and budget).
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and leading internal teams, from kickoff meeting through completion.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to lead mechanical scope discussions with clarity.
• Proven ability to build team culture and deliver profitable projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute multiple concurrent commercial plumbing projects.
• Bid, budget, and estimate using proprietary methodology and industry standards.
• Monitor field operations, crew productivity, and manpower.
• Manage RFIs, SOVs, billing, and change orders.
• Conduct job walks and site visits.
• Lead and communicate effectively with field and foreman teams.
• Build and maintain relationships across our commercial client base.
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers and internal support teams.
• Participate in bi-weekly project manager meetings.
• Drive project success through technical knowledge and strong leadership.
