Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Engineering In Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• ASPE Certified Plumbing Design preferred.
• Associates degree, or equivalent required.
• Associates degree or certificate in BIM or Engineering preferred.
• 3 years of experience; 4 preferred in building design consulting.
• 7 years of experience; 8 preferred in building design/ construction.
• Mastery of code calculations for domestic water, waste and vent systems.
• Advanced knowledge of specialty plumbing systems (medical gas, lab gas, high rise, rainwater/grey water).

Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for analysis of plumbing and fire protection systems.
• Create detailed designs and calculations complying with codes and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to understand needs and communicate technical information.
• Support project execution by planning, budgeting, and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and project progress.
• Analyze problems and develop practical solutions with senior staff.
• Perform in-process design reviews of plumbing and fire protection designs.
• Implement IMEG quality control processes.
• Stay current on industry trends and contribute to innovation.
• Identify risks and support projects through bidding and construction phases.
