Job summary

Sergeants Home Services in North Port, FL is seeking a Plumbing Manager to launch and lead a residential plumbing division from the ground up. This hands-on leadership role requires building a high-performing team and driving revenue.

You will recruit, train, and coach technicians, establish processes, track KPIs, and ensure customer satisfaction while expanding the department with support from an established home services organization.

Sergeants Home Services is growing, and we're looking for an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Plumbing Manager to launch, develop, and lead our residential plumbing division from the ground up.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven plumbing leader who knows how to build a successful team, generate revenue, develop technicians, and create a profitable operation.

You’ll have the opportunity to put your experience, leadership, and business knowledge to work while helping shape the future of our plumbing division.

This is a hands-on leadership role! In the beginning, you’ll be running service calls, taking care of customers, and generating revenue while building your team. As the department grows, your focus will shift toward leading technicians, training, developing talent, and driving overall department performance.

What You’ll Do

Build & Grow the Department

Launch and develop our residential plumbing division from the ground up.

Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing plumbing team.

Establish processes, procedures, and performance expectations to create a successful operation.

Develop strategies to grow revenue, increase profitability, and expand the department.

Take ownership of department performance, growth, and customer satisfaction.

Provide hands‑on leadership, coaching, and technical training to plumbing technicians.

Teach technicians how to identify opportunities, communicate solutions, and generate revenue through exceptional customer service.

Establish and manage KPIs, including revenue, average ticket, conversion rates, and technician productivity.

Hold team members accountable while building a positive, performance‑driven culture.

Lead by example and create a team that takes pride in its work.

Get in the Field & Drive Revenue

Personally run residential plumbing service calls while the department is growing.

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and recommend plumbing solutions.

Build customer relationships and confidently present repair and replacement options.

Generate revenue through your own service calls while developing the team.

Transition into a stronger management and leadership focus as the division expands.

What We’re Looking For

We need a proven leader, not someone looking for their first management opportunity.

Proven experience successfully managing a residential plumbing service department or team is required.

Demonstrated track record of generating revenue and growing a profitable plumbing operation.

Strong residential service plumbing experience with the technical ability to independently run calls.

Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and developing plumbing technicians.

Strong understanding of plumbing service KPIs, revenue goals, profitability, and operational performance.

Sales‑minded leader who understands how to drive revenue while providing honest, customer‑focused service.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and build a department with limited existing infrastructure.

Experience with ServiceTitan is strongly preferred.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Applicable plumbing licenses or certifications as required.

$80,000–$100,000 annual base salary, depending on experience
