Job summary

ColonialWebb Contractors Company in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead the field crew of plumbing/pipefitter mechanics on our Special Projects team. You will direct day-to-day activities, ensure work meets safety standards and stays on budget and schedule.

The role requires strong onsite leadership, ability to read blueprints, manage manpower and tools, coordinate material deliveries, and coach teammates to perform safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading field crews on commercial plumbing/pipefitting projects.
  • Strong knowledge of safety rules, BOCA/OSHA standards and site regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, submittals and specifications.
  • Proven track record of coordinating manpower, materials and subcontractors to meet schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Direct day-to-day field activities of plumbing/pipefitter mechanics and helpers.
  • Monitor and control manpower and tools to optimize resources and productivity.
  • Inspect work in progress and completed work for conformance to specs.
  • Schedule material deliveries, subcontractors and startup manpower to maintain project schedule.
  • Develop corrective actions for customer issues and ensure future success.
  • Implement safety policies and lead safety meetings; coach teammates for safe work.
