ColonialWebb Contractors Company is seeking a Plumbing Mechanic to assemble, install and repair pipes, fittings and fixtures for heating, water, and drainage systems. You will follow building plans, use hand and power tools, and ensure compliance with plumbing codes and safety rules on a busy job site in Virginia.

Qualifications

• At least four years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of BOCA and OSHA safety regulations.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Strong communication with teammates across trades.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes of metal or plastic.
• Locate and mark pipe positions and passage holes in walls and floors.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and fittings.
• Join pipes with screws, fittings, solder, brazing, or solvent as required.
• Test pipes by filling with water or air and reading pressure gauges for leaks.
• Install and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, bathtubs, and water heaters.

Plumbing Mechanic - ConstructionThe primary responsibility of the Plumbing Mechanic is to assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems, according to specifications and plumbing codes.
