Job summary

East End Plumbing is seeking a Plumbing Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial and residential plumbing projects. The role reviews project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop complete estimates for both commercial and residential work.

You will meet with customers to review wants and needs, assess drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and estimate labor and materials while coordinating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in residential plumbing services and sales.
• Plumbing license, trade certification, associate degree, or related technical training.
• Knowledge of plumbing codes, building codes, OSHA requirements, and industry standards.
• Experience estimating projects using software.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to review plumbing project wants and needs.
• Review architectural, mechanical, plumbing and civil drawings, specs, addenda, and contract documents.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for plumbing systems, fixtures, piping, equipment, and related materials.
• Estimate labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, permits, and other project expenses.
• Prepare budgets, proposals, bid summaries, and cost reports.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors; evaluate options.
• Maintain organized estimating files and meet bid deadlines.
