gpac LLC. is seeking a Plumbing Estimator in Massachusetts to develop accurate, timely bids for public, commercial, and industrial projects. You will analyze drawings, perform digital takeoffs, and build complete bid proposals while coordinating with vendors and field operations.

The role requires 3+ years of plumbing estimating experience, strong reading of MEP plans, and proficiency with QuoteExpress and Excel. Competitive base salary and full benefits are offered.

Position Overview

As a Plumbing Estimator, you will develop accurate, timely, and competitive plumbing estimates for public, commercial, and industrial projects. You will analyze drawings, perform detailed digital takeoffs, evaluate pricing, and build complete bid proposals.

• Project Review: Analyze drawings, specifications, addenda, and schedules to identify project scope, risks, and requirements.
• Digital Takeoffs: Perform precise plumbing quantity takeoffs (piping, valves, fixtures, equipment) using QuoteExpress and Microsoft Excel.
• Pricing & Bids: Prepare labor, material, and equipment pricing, scope letters, qualifications, and value engineering proposals.
• Vendor Management: Solicit, track, and level vendor/subcontractor quotes for specification compliance.
• Team Collaboration: Attend estimating meetings, manage cloud project files (ShareFile), and partner with field operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of experience estimating plumbing systems for commercial or industrial projects (or equivalent field + estimating background).
• Strong ability to read and interpret MEP construction plans and specs.
• Proficiency with digital takeoff software (QuoteExpress or similar database platforms) and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and written communication skills for creating detailed scope letters.
