Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in San Francisco seeks an entry-level Mechanical Engineer focused on Plumbing and Fire Protection to join a collaborative team. You will learn and contribute to designs, CAD/BIM drafting, and coordination with other trades on diverse projects.

You will participate in the Engineer Development Program, receiving mentorship, training, and professional growth within a global engineering firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Mechanical engineering with a graduation date as specified (Winter 2026, Spring or Summer 2027).
• Previous engineering internship is a plus.
• Knowledge of the latest version of MEP AutoCAD; REVIT experience is a plus.
• Proficient in design and calculation software; MS Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer.
• Learn drawing organization and company standards.
• Perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes.
• Coordinate with the designs of other trades under guidance of senior staff.
• Support design and engineering for new installations, retrofits, upgrades.
• Take ownership of completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of work assignments.
• Assist engineers with field investigations and construction site visits.
• Attend engineering development program training sessions.
