Job summary

Coastal Electrical Company of Florida is seeking a Plumbing Division Manager in the Jacksonville, FL area to build and lead the new Plumbing Division from the ground up. This role combines strategic development with hands-on leadership of plumbing projects, vendor relations, and client engagement.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in commercial plumbing construction, strong project management and a proven ability to grow a department within an established company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial plumbing construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing construction and project management.
• Proven leadership experience managing employees, field teams, and projects.
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, labor, and cost controls.
• Strong understanding of project financials and profitability.
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer, vendor, and employee relationships.

Responsibilities

• Establish and grow Coastal Electrical Company of Florida's new Plumbing Division.
• Lead plumbing operations and oversee projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Recruit, hire, develop, and manage plumbing field and project management personnel.
• Lead the transition of awarded projects from estimating to operations.
• Oversee submittals, procurement, material planning, and project scheduling.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, general contractors, and customers.
• Review contracts and assist leadership with project planning and strategy.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, project logs, and project documentation.
• Oversee material takeoffs, purchasing, and cost-control efforts.
• Coordinate with field leadership to manage manpower, schedules, and project needs.
• Review billing, schedules of values, financial reporting, and project profitability.
• Monitor labor productivity, job costs, and overall project performance.
• Ensure project documentation, insurance requirements, and compliance items are completed.
• Oversee project closeout documentation and turnover.
• Help identify new plumbing opportunities and support the continued growth of the division.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, quality, and teamwork.

We are looking for an experienced plumbing professional (WITH THEIR FL PLUMBING LICENSE) who is ready to take ownership of this new division and help build it from the ground up. Position Overview

Coastal Electrical Company of Florida is seeking a Plumbing Division Manager in the Jacksonville, FL area to lead the development and operation of our new plumbing division.

This individual will be responsible for helping establish the division, building a strong team, overseeing plumbing projects, developing customer and vendor relationships, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in commercial plumbing construction, project management, and leadership and is comfortable helping grow a division from its early stages.

Requirements

• 8+ years of commercial plumbing construction experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of plumbing construction and project management
• Proven leadership experience managing employees, field teams, and projects
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules, labor, and cost controls
• Strong understanding of project financials and profitability
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer, vendor, and employee relationships
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software
• Valid Driver’s License required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience managing or helping build a plumbing department or division
• State or Master Plumbing License preferred
• Experience with Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, and construction management software
• Strong estimating and preconstruction knowledge
• Experience recruiting and developing plumbing professionals
