Smith Seckman Reid, Inc is seeking a Plumbing Designer II to prepare design drawings and support project execution. The role involves creating accurate models, maintaining design standards, and coordinating with engineers, architects, and clients on site observations.

The ideal candidate will have a two-year technical degree and 3–5 years of related experience, plus hands-on knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and related software.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret plans from multiple disciplines.
• Familiarity with building design specifications and engineering principles.
• Knowledge of construction terminology and basic math.
• Proficiency with industry software and related engineering tools.

Responsabilités

• Process drawings from architects into usable design models.
• Create electronic drawings with accuracy using industry software.
• Assist in developing design approaches and concepts with guidance from senior staff.
• Perform design layout and sizing for assigned projects.
• Support data collection and field verification as needed.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, MEP disciplines, and CAD staff.
• Review shop drawings and track design changes.
• Keep project files organized and up to date.
