Wichita Public Schools is seeking a Crewperson 6A-C - Plumbing to perform essential plumbing tasks across district facilities. Travel between schools and central offices is required, with work in various environments and adherence to district guidelines.

The role requires ability to read blueprints, maintain safety standards, and cooperate with a diverse team under supervision. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, plus valid Kansas driver’s license and 2+ years of experience.

Qualifications

  • A High School education or GED is preferred.
  • Maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license at all times throughout employment.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining good public relations; represent Facilities Division and Wichita Public Schools.
  • Assume responsibility for tools, supplies and materials.
  • Communicate effectively with principals, contractors, and Facilities Division Supervisors.
  • Cooperate with other employees and maintain public relations inside and outside assignment.
  • Display willingness to be trained and increase skills for advancement.
  • Maintain knowledge of policies concerning the Facilities area.
  • Maintain records required for unit functioning.
  • Observe and meet job schedules and deadlines.
