Beginning Scale: Classified Pay Scale C; Position Type: Full Time; Beginning Salary: $22.34/hr–$30.11/hr

Description of Position: The Plumbing Specialist installs, maintains, and repairs piping systems, plumbing fixtures, and water distribution systems throughout district buildings, ensuring safe and code‑compliant operations.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Plumbing Maintenance and Installation (65%)

• Repair leaks, unclog drains, and replace fixtures (toilets, sinks, water fountains)
• Install piping for water supply and drainage systems
• Maintain and repair irrigation and sprinkler systems

Safety & Compliance (25%)

• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations
• Conduct routine inspections and water testing

Other Responsibilities (5%)

• Support emergency repairs or after‑hours calls
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Journeyman Plumber License (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years experience in plumbing systems repair and maintenance
• All employees hired by the school district must pass a criminal background and child abuse registry check

Preferred Education, Experience, And Skills

• Backflow certification
• Experience in school or commercial plumbing
