Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is hiring for an industrial plumbing technician to assemble, install, repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and HVAC piping. You will read drawings and work orders to lay out systems, ensure precise measurements, and use cement, soldering and brazing to join copper or PVC pipes.

You must lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods and work with hand/power tools. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and following SOPs while collaborating with the Production Lead.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance.
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 2-3 hours.
• Ability to reach over shoulders/head.
• Ability to bend at waist and knees.
• Ability to twist at shoulders/waist.
• Familiar with tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, repair and maintain industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Read blueprints, drawings and work order specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system for HVAC units.
• Ensure precise measurements, cuttings, bending and threading of copper or PVC pipe using hand and power tools.
• Join and secure tubes, pipes, couplings and fittings through cement, soldering and brazing.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Meet standard operating procedures with Production Lead.

Position Description

Shift: Mon-Thurs 6:00AM-4:00PM

Pay: $24.00/hr

Operators Must Be Able To

• Assemble, install, repair and maintain and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Read blueprints, drawings and work order specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system such as water supply networks and waste and drainage system of the HVAC unit
• Ensure precise measurements, cuttings, bending and threading of copper or PVC pipe using hand and power tools such as reamers, copper pipe cutter and pipe thread machine
• Join and secure tubes, pipes, couplings and fittings through the use of cement, soldering and brazing
• Test plumbing system for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Work with the Production Lead to meet the standard operation procedures
• Measure and mark guidelines for proper HVAC unit parts installation
• Ensure safety and quality measures are followed
• Other duties as assigned by a member of management
