Modine is hiring a Maintenance/Plumbing Operator in Wisconsin to assemble, install, repair and maintain industrial plumbing for HVAC units. You will read blueprints to lay out water supply and drainage, measure and cut copper or PVC pipe, and join components using cement, soldering or brazing.

Safety and quality adherence is essential. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs and familiarity with tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, repair and maintain industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Read blueprints and drawings to determine layout of water supply and drainage for HVAC units.
• Measure, cut, bend and thread copper or PVC pipe using hand and power tools.
• Join tubes and fittings with cement, soldering and brazing.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks with air and water pressure gauges.
• Coordinate with Production Lead to meet SOPs.
• Mark guidelines for proper HVAC unit installation.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards.

Position Description

Operators must be able to:

• Assemble, install, repair and maintain and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Read blueprints, drawings and work order specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system such as water supply networks and waste and drainage system of the HVAC unit
• Ensuring precise measurements, cuttings, bending and threading of copper or PVC pipe using hand and power tools such as reamers, copper pipe cutter and pipe thread machine
• Join and secure tubes, pipes, couplings and fittings through the use of cement, soldering and brazing
• Test plumbing system for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Work with the Production Lead to meet the standard operation procedures
• Measure and mark guidelines for proper HVAC unit parts installation
• Ensure safety and quality measures are followed
• Other duties as assigned by a member of management

Required Education & Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to stand for a minimum of 2-3 hours
• Ability to reach over shoulders/head
• Ability to bend at waist and knees
• Ability to twist at shoulders/waist
• Familiar with tools

Education Requirements:

• High school diploma of GED required.
