Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a Mechanical Assembler for the night shift to assemble products on the production line according to prints and wiring diagrams. The role uses power and hand tools, overhead hoists, and fixtures, with emphasis on safety, quality, and timely production.

Hours are 10:00PM - 6:00AM, Monday through Friday, with Saturday overtime mandatory. Base pay is $25.59/hour with a differential to $30.59/hour; shift differential is $5.00.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams and CAD models to meet specs.

Responsibilities

• Assemble units per customer specifications using hand and power tools.
• Measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and CAD models to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of quality and production checklists.
• Enter information into Windows-based and CAD systems; keep area clean.
• Operate overhead hoists and powered industrial trucks when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Description

The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for utilizing prints, work instructions and wiring diagrams in order to assemble product on the production line. This may include the use of power tools, hand tools, overhead hoists and fixtures to complete assembly and transport material to and from the work station. Mechanical Assemblers are responsible for adhering to all safety and quality requirements while meeting production schedule demands.

Base Pay $25.59 With Differential $30.59/hour

Shift Differential: $5.00

Key Responsibilities

• Using various manual and powered hand tools to assemble units according to customer specifications.
• Ability to measure, cut, fit, and insulate water piping assembly.
• Reads blueprints work instructions, and wiring diagrams to build or modify units.
• Ensure completion of Quality and Production checklists/processes.
• Use computer to access and enter information including Windows based and CAD platforms. Keeps work area neat, clean and orderly.
• Operate overhead hoists, manual hand trucks, and powered industrial trucks when required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Production experience in a make-to-order assembly role is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, assembly checks and CAD models in order to meet production specifications preferred.
