Tessera is seeking a skilled plumber for Anchorage, AK, to test, certify, and repair backflow assemblies and to maintain a wide range of plumbing systems across water, sewer, and gas networks. The role requires substantial field experience and the ability to read complex drawings and plans.

$50.49 - $50.49 per hour
Minimum of five (5) years of plumbing experience required. Municipality of Anchorage plumber license preferred. State of Anchorage plumber license preferred (Journeyman level license preferred). Alaska certificate of fitness required. Personnel inspecting, testing, certifying, and making recommendations for corrective action for backflow preventers shall be certified per UG-2029-ENV and have a Backflow Assembly Tester (BAT) certificate for the State of Alaska. Personnel performing maintenance on backflow preventers shall have a journeymen plumber's license.
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties. Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required. Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.
A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
