Job summary

MEC in Defiance, Ohio is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to support production line operations, including packing, assembling, and material handling. You will load/unload materials, maintain a clean work area, and ensure safe, compliant running of shifts.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED; prior manufacturing experience is preferred. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing long hours, and following PPE and safety rules. A $1000 sign-on bonus is offered.

• Assists with production line operations, including packing, assembling, and material handling.
• Loads and unloads materials and products.

• Follows all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Inspects materials for defects and reports any issues to supervisors or quality assurance.
• Collaborates with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
