Job summary

Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. in Defiance, OH, is seeking a production worker to join our manufacturing team. You will assist with production line operations, including packing, assembling, and material handling, and you will load and unload materials to maintain flow.

You will follow safety regulations, inspect materials for defects, and collaborate with teammates to meet production goals. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or similar environments preferred.
• Some physical demand; lifting up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and standing for long periods may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with production line operations, including packing, assembling, and material handling.
• Loads and unloads materials and products.
• Maintains cleanliness of the production area by sweeping, organizing tools, and disposing of waste.
• Follows all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Inspects materials for defects and reports any issues to supervisors or quality assurance.
• Collaborates with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Some physical demand; often lifts light to heavy-weight material. Frequent lifting/moving average weight (up to 50 lbs/11-27 kgs) material.
• Ability to perform occasional to frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, twisting, crawling and/or reaching over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
• Ability to stand and / or walk constantly over a full work shift on concrete (8-12 hours).
• May be exposed to noise levels for which hearing protection is required to be worn over a full work shift (8-12 hours).
