Job Description

Spalding, a Saalex Company is seeking a PLM TeamCenter Solutions Architect in Lexington Park, MD. Position Details

Position Type: Full-Time

Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below).

Salary: $100k-$145k - depending on experience.

On-Site Requirements

On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for local candidates. Out-of-state candidates will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized; however, local candidates may need to work on-site a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements may change based on client direction.

Essential Functions

1. Possess extensive experience and advanced knowledge in areas such as Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), CAD, BOM Management, Mechanical/Electrical CAD, Model-based Engineering, Additive Manufacturing.
2. Provide technical and functional guidance for planning, architecture, deployment, and integration of Siemens’ Teamcenter PLM platform.
3. Guide strategy and roadmap for Teamcenter PLM, including Active Workspace and Rich Client applications.
4. Coordinate with stakeholders on data models, workflows, and stylesheets to support Navy aircraft maintenance processes.
5. Oversee application architecture, evaluate future releases, and assess impact on product and workflow improvements.
6. Collaborate with engineering, product marketing, CAD designers, and IT teams to ensure integration and effective communication.
7. Implement Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) Manufacturing Process Planning and Change Management.
8. Develop process diagrams for custom workflows.
9. Provide expert guidance on PLM and engineering software solutions involving CAD/CAM.
10. Interface with engineering staff and vendor support to resolve complex design issues.
11. Create Stories and Tasks in JIRA to meet customer requirements.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
2. Ability to obtain CompTIA Security Plus Certification within 90 days of onboarding.
3. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.

Desired Skills

1. Expert knowledge of Siemens Teamcenter UA v13.x or above, including BMIDE, Workflow, Access Management, Project Security, and reporting tools.
2. Extensive experience in PLM, PDM, CAD, BOM Management, Model-based Engineering, and Additive Manufacturing.
3. Deep understanding of advanced principles in product data management, project management, and software implementation.
4. Proven track record in designing, developing, and maintaining PDM and PLM systems.
5. Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical information effectively at all levels.

Security Clearance

Must be eligible for a Secret clearance; interim clearance acceptable to start. US Citizenship and security investigation required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or computer science disciplines.
