Job summary

Saputo Cheese USA Inc. in Franklin, WI is seeking a PLC Technician to be a key part of a new 340,000 square foot conversion facility, supporting our cheese network in North America.

You will design, implement, and maintain PLCs and related automation equipment, calibrate instruments, troubleshoot faults, and coordinate with engineers and contractors to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• AS degree in industrial controls technologies or related field, or 3-5 years’ experience in instrumentation/automation.
• PLC, HMI or DCS certifications preferred.
• Calibration experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of automated control systems, electronics, robotics, fibre optic sensors, pneumatic-hydraulic controls, HMI panels, and PLC programming.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, maintain, inspect, modify, and repair automation equipment.
• Design, implement, and maintain PLCs and troubleshoot electronic equipment.
• Calibrate plant instruments including sensors, transmitters, valves and flow devices.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to minimize downtime.
