Job summary
Saputo Cheese USA Inc. is seeking a PLC Technician to maintain and optimize advanced automation systems on our night shift in Wisconsin. You will install, test, and repair automation equipment, and work with engineers to ensure safe, reliable operations.
Ideal candidates have AS in controls or 3–5 years in instrumentation/automation, PLC/HMI/DCS certifications, and strong troubleshooting skills. Expect a collaborative environment with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; AS degree in industrial controls technologies or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years experience in instrumentation/automation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PLC, HMI or DCS certifications preferred; calibration experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Install, test, maintain, inspect, modify, and repair automation equipment and controls systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electronic or mechanical malfunctions; identify root cause and corrective actions.
- Program and configure pressure/temperature transmitters, PLC, HMI and other controls devices.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors to maintain operations and support new projects.
- Provide guidance and maintenance training to production supervisors and engineers.
